Investment vehicles cohort

**NEW** Applications Open! The CFA Southeast Asia Investment Vehicles cohort is a new opportunity targeted at managers of promising climate-focused investment vehicles in Southeast Asia.

About the CFA Investment Vehicles Cohort

The CFA has supported over 230 climate businesses and projects across ten emerging markets to unlock more than $530 million in investments across 65 deals.

Through the CFA Investment Vehicles Cohort, fund managers will receive tailored technical assistance and investor-readiness support to strengthen their investment propositions and sharpen their fundraising strategies so that they can engage investors with greater confidence and credibility. An event at the end of the acceleration cycle will bring managers together with relevant investors and climate-finance stakeholders.

Who Can Apply?

This new cohort is open to investment vehicles across all climate sectors that are actively raising capital to deploy in Southeast Asian markets. Full eligibility criteria are outlined on the "Apply to join CFA" page.

Key Benefits

1. Curated Opportunities to Network with Investors and Climate Finance Stakeholders

There will be interactions with investors and investment specialists throughout the acceleration cycle, culminating in an event in Singapore at which selected managers will have the opportunity to interact with relevant investors and other climate-finance stakeholders.

These interactions are intended to help managers better understand investor perspectives, test and refine their propositions, and build relationships that may continue beyond the cohort.

2. Tailored Investor-Led Coaching and Best-Practice Insights

Selected investment vehicle managers participate in knowledge-sharing sessions and receive tailored support from experienced global and local practitioners on the areas that matter most to Limited Partners (LPs). This includes fundraising readiness, fund terms and structure, the investment thesis, and a coherent LP proposition.

The CFA will support managers to prepare LP-grade materials, including pitch decks, private placement memoranda (PPMs) and ESG and impact frameworks, and in strengthening their storytelling and investor-facing communications.

3. Increased Visibility and Credibility

Participation in CFA events (e.g. convenings with investors) can elevate managers’ and vehicles’ profiles among a wide range of stakeholders, improving their positioning within the climate-finance ecosystem and strengthening their credibility with potential investors.

After completing their acceleration cycle, participants also benefit from additional exposure, such as being featured on the CFA website.

4. Stronger ESG and Climate-Impact Narrative

The CFA supports managers to understand, enhance, and communicate their environmental and social impacts, factors increasingly important to investors alongside commercial returns.

Drawing on climate, environmental, and social impact specialists, the CFA helps vehicles align with national climate ambitions and highlight co-benefits such as:

  • Poverty reduction.
  • Improved gender equality, disability and social inclusion.
  • The protection of nature and biodiversity.

This support also strengthens awareness of ESG safeguards and risk-management expectations.

The CFA does not act as a transaction adviser or broker, nor does it raise capital on behalf of participants.

How to Apply
