About the Business

The UN projects a global annual shortage of 250M tons of protein by 2050. Traditional protein production is resource-intensive and vulnerable to climate change.

MycoSure aims to address this challenge by leveraging a highly efficient, nature-based technology to produce sustainable protein (mycoprotein) at scale, using mycelium - the root structure of fungi.

MycoSure has concluded two rounds of funding. The team is focused on key commercialisation related milestones including further optimisation of the technology and the pre-engineering design of their first commercial scale mycoprotein production facility (a first in Africa).

MycoSure is an opportunity to support and invest in African innovation responding to a key global sustainability challenge.
