About the Business

Colombia's electricity system wasn't designed for the energy transition: generation happens far from consumption, transmission losses are high, and local grids struggle to keep pace with growing demand.

Unergy converts flat land plots of at least two hectares near three phase power lines into solar mini-farms connected to the national grid bringing generation closer to consumption and relieving distribution networks where it matters most. As a licensed utility and Colombia's largest aggregator of small generators, Unergy manages the full project lifecycle: design, construction, operation, maintenance and security. Agrivoltaic models allow dual land use, combining energy generation with agriculture or livestock.

Projects deliver ~13% annual returns (up to 20% with tax incentives) on investments from $500k USD, generate local jobs, and create stable income for landowners. With 65,000+ MWh injected into the national grid, operations across 9 departments, and $120M USD in committed financing, Unergy is building Colombia's energy transition from the regions up one mini-farm at a time.
